Carlee
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Carlee is a car-management app developed in Sweden. It is designed so that your data stays with you.
What Carlee stores
Everything you enter: cars, fuel and expense entries, reminders, trips, valuations, notes, photos and documents. This data lives on your device.
No tracking, no servers
- Carlee has no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs and no account system of its own.
- The developer does not receive, see or store your data.
- Carlee does not track you across apps or websites.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you are signed in to iCloud and leave "Sync with iCloud" on, your data is kept in your private iCloud (CloudKit) database so it appears on your other devices. Only you can access it. The developer cannot. You can turn sync off in Settings.
Sign in with Apple (optional)
Sign in with Apple only shows your name and e-mail (or Apple's private relay address) inside the app. They are stored on your device and in your own iCloud, never on a developer server.
Permissions
- Camera – to scan your odometer and to photograph cars, receipts and documents.
- Photos – only the pictures you choose are read.
- Location – only if you use the trip meter or automatic trip detection. Trips are stored on your device (and in your iCloud if sync is on). Automatic detection is off by default and needs "Always" location access, which you can revoke at any time.
- Notifications – to alert you before a reminder is due. These are scheduled on your device.
Subscription
Carlee Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple. Payment and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple; the developer never sees your payment details.
Exports and backups
Files you export (backup, CSV, PDF) are created on your device and shared only where you choose to send them.
Deleting your data
Delete a car, entry, trip or reminder inside the app, or delete the app to remove local data. To remove iCloud data, use Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Children
Carlee is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with an updated date.
